What do the leaders of both eastern and Western European theatres consider to be the greatest walls in Europe? What about in their own countries? What about in their own theatres? What are their personal walls? And can all of these walls be torn down?


This is one of the questions we will be seeking answers to with renowned representatives of the European theatre world at the WALLS OF MISUNDERSTANDING panel discussion as part of the 2015 international drama festival. We take pleasure in inviting you to this debate, set to be held on the 18th of June at 11:00 at the New SND Building 3rd floor foyer.


Tadeusz Słobodzianek - Teatr Dramatyczny Director, Warsaw, the writer of Young Stalin
Gábor Máté - artistic director Katona József Színház, Budapest, the director of Gypsies
Marta Ľjubková - chief dramaturge at the Prague National Theatre Drama
Andriy May - director of The Maidan Diaries from the Kiev Ivan Franco National Academic Theatre
Tilmann Köhler - director of Divided Heaven from the Dresden national Theatre
Roman Polák - SND Drama director

The discussion will be interpreted into Slovak, English, German, Polish, Ukrainian and Hungarian.
